Reviews and Ratings
After 9 hours of hiking and paying £100 for the room, I found it to be very overpriced and in need of a lot of TLC. There was no wardrobe or drawers for clothes, the kettle was precariously resting on the window sill, and I had to draw all curtains as other rooms could see in. Despite lots of mold in the bathroom, the only good thing was the very comfortable bed. The room did overlook the village square, but it was very noisy from 6 am due to heavy traffic.
My stay at the hotel was convenient for our early start at 5am, but the room needed a bit of a spruce up and was noisy due to the proximity to the pub and passing trucks. The location was good for access to bars, eateries, and the train station, with great views of the dales.
I found the hotel to be a bit basic and in need of a makeover, but it was situated in a pleasant courtyard behind the pub. The location was excellent, with easy access to the train station and nearby bars and eateries. The dining experience was enjoyable, offering a good selection of breakfast choices. The service was friendly, and the lady who served us was accommodating. However, the rooms were a little nippy, and I was informed that the boiler was not working correctly.
